Come and celebrate Annie & The Make Believe's newest single 'It Got Bad' with a full band show (Rhythm guitar: Mel Ricou, Lead guitar: Cam Geeves, Drums: Simon Krambousanos, Bass: Nic Miles) and support from special guests Scott Candlish and Irene Zhong.
Annie & The Make Believe is an Australian/English folk-pop artist from Naarm/Melbourne playing heartfelt catchy tunes that will have you tapping your feet. The latest single will be her first release in Australia after returning home from close to a decade in the UK. There she released the successful debut EP ‘Let’s Get Together Again,’ which received widespread praise including radio airplay across the BBC. This led to a UK festival circuit tour with her London band at Bridgnorth Music and Arts Festival, Camper Calling Festival (BBC Introducing stage), Staxonbury and the Coffee House Sessions. The band supported Swiss pop rockers ‘Pegasus’ as well as playing a swathe of London venues including Proud Camden, 93ft East, The Bedroom Bar and The Finsbury.
'It Got Bad’ marks a fresh chapter in the Annie & The Make Believe story and is the first of a number of exciting upcoming collaborations with producer Simon Moro. With a reinvigorated sound the single weaves the melodies of folk, influences of pop and the hue of alt-country into a new single that captures the hope, despair, longing and disappointment of a relationship ending.
